Fall Tips for a Healthy Yard and Healthy Outdoor Space
Now is a good time to re-think our relationship to leaves and trees.
This year, consider leaving the leaves in your garden beds so pollinators can winter over. And be aware that right now the larva for next summer's fireflies (a.k.a lightning bugs) are among the fallen leaves in our yards, where they will overwinter if you let them.
You can also boost your health with a forest walk. One place to do this is the Drew Forest — 53 acres of wooded land where students and residents can get their daily dose of nature restoration. Click here to read the full newsletter.
